Sweet corn

Fresh sweet corn has meanwhile become a permanent feature of the range of fruit and vegetables offered by food retailers. The entire production is controlled by a grower who specialises in sweet corn and holds more than 30 years of experience. Thanks to growing areas in Morocco, Andalusia, southern France and Baden’s Rhine Valley, our customers can be supplied with sweet corn from the beginning of May until the end of October.

Cultivation is completely isolated in all regions. This means that cross-pollination with grain or forage maize, which results in a distinct loss of flavour and is not visible when shopping, is excluded. Only genetically unmodified, super-sweet varieties are grown with a sugar content between 8 and 12%.

Deep-frozen corn cobs that are blanched, shock-frosted and packaged immediately after the harvest are available year round.
